A little lotus update... and a whole lot of magic

It feels like forever since I've sat down to write one of these. The last six weeks have been... a lot.

I spent five weeks in Queensland caring for Mum, which despite the circumstances, held one of those moments I'll treasure forever. While I was there, I had the honour of being the guest speaker and demonstrating medium at the Spiritual Church Brisbane. Mum had never actually seen me demonstrate mediumship before, so for her to sit in the audience and witness this part of my world was incredibly special. Even more wonderful was seeing my dear friend Gayla (37 years of friendship and counting!) attend with some of her friends. Those moments where your different worlds collide are pretty magical.

No sooner had I returned home than Dad suffered a heart attack, requiring triple bypass surgery. So it was off to Melbourne. Thankfully, he's doing really well and is on the road to recovery.

As for me, I finally hit the wall. This week my body simply said, "Nope. We're done." So I've embraced a little unapologetic bed rotting, plenty of cups of tea and the reminder that even healers need to stop trying to heal everyone else for a minute.

This feels very aligned with the collective energy we're moving through right now.July has arrived with a noticeable shift. We're moving through a deeply reflective, inward-facing energy: Cancer season inviting us to come home to ourselves, to tend to what feels tender, to honour what needs nurturing. There's a softness to it but also a quiet insistence: slow down, feel it, don't bypass it.Astrologically, there's a sense of recalibration. Old emotional patterns are rising to the surface, not to overwhelm us, but to be witnessed and released. It's less about pushing forward right now and more about pausing, integrating and asking, what actually matters?

And it's been fascinating to see how this is mirrored in client readings lately. Cards like the Four of Swords, The Hermit and Temperance have been showing up again and again: rest, retreat, integration, balance. The Tower has also made a few appearances but not in a chaotic, destructive way, more as a gentle dismantling of what no longer fits, clearing space for something more aligned. There's a strong theme of pause before progress.  Trust that stepping back is not falling behind. Understand that healing isn't always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it's quiet, slow and deeply internal. So if you've been feeling a little tired, a little introspective, a little "not quite yourself"... you're not alone. You're right on time.

One of the things I'm most looking forward to is heading back to St Clement's Monastery at Galong for the annual At One Events Trance Mediumship Retreat with Sarah Jeffrey, Julian Glover, Scott Milligan and Natalie Eden Walker. Last year's retreat was unlike anything I'd experienced. Deeply introspective, profoundly healing and very different to the demonstration mediumship retreat I attend each January. January is about stepping onto the platform and serving others. This retreat feels much more like turning inward, allowing Spirit to work upon us. I'm looking forward to seeing what unfolds.

For now, I'm signing, packing and preparing to post The Bones of Becoming – Second Edition decks for Kickstarter supporters and pre-orders in between naps. The response has honestly been overwhelming and I'm so grateful. If you missed out, don't worry, there are still plenty available.

A little celebration (& a little favour!)

Before I forget, this is something I'm incredibly excited (and a little blown away) to share...

I've been nominated in three categories for the SLAI Spiritual Leaders Awards International.

It feels like such an honour to be recognised in this way, especially alongside so many incredible practitioners around this big beautiful continent.

If you feel called to support me, I would absolutely love it if you took a moment to vote

Friday's at The Crystal Chalice

My alternating Friday reading days at The Crystal Chalice have been wonderfully busy. I pivot to every Friday instead of fortnightly. So, I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts.

Would weekly Fridays make it easier for you to book an in-person reading?

Workshops are back!

I'm slowly putting together the calendar for the second half of the year and I'd love your input.

What would you like to see? Intuitive Development? Tarot? Akashic Records Practitioner? A Journey around the Medicine Wheel?

How would you like it? Online? In person? Over a weekend or one evening a fortnight?

So many questions! Come at me! If there's something you've been waiting for, now's the perfect time to let me know.

Did you know...

Louise and I also offer private events. If you've got a group of six to eight friends who'd love an afternoon or evening of readings, we'd be delighted to come to you.

They're perfect for birthdays, hens celebrations, girls' weekends or simply gathering beautiful humans together for something a little different.

ICYMI

My Tarot in Tiny Teaspoons series has been bubbling away across social media. These are short, bite-sized reflections exploring tarot without the fluff, fear or fortune-telling myths.

Think of them as little sips of wisdom that make tarot practical, approachable and deeply relevant to everyday life.

And finally... for the question I get asked almost every single day..

Yes. The Tarot in Tiny Teaspoons book is almost here.

Life threw a few unexpected detours my way over the past couple of months, but I'm now in the final stages of proofreading. Then comes the exciting part, deciding how many printed copies to publish and whether most of you would prefer a beautiful hard copy, an eBook... or both!

As always, thank you for walking beside me. Whether you've booked a reading, joined a workshop, purchased a deck, liked a post or quietly followed along from afar, your support means more than you probably realise.

Take gentle care of yourselves...  and don't ignore it if your body tells you it's time to rest.

With love,

Cath Leask
